Gear:

[Nikon F65] My 1st electronic-shutter SLR disappoints me a bit. It comes with 28-80mm f/3.3-5.6. I also bought a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8. This camera lacks spot & centre metering :(

[Canon PowerShot s30] My 1st digital camera has been my best companion. It has the convenient size together with nearly all the functions of a SLR. Lens is in 35-105mm f/2.8-4.9. The most important of all, it complements exactly the drawbacks of my Nikon in metering system. However, the battery power for this model is intolerably low.

[LOMO Kompakt Automat] It's an excellent present from Eunice. LC-A is more known as a cultural product than a technical one. The lens, 32mm f/2.8, is nice for snapshots. I couldn't imagine I can own a Russian product. The images produced ain't as sharp as the previous 2 models but it has an indescribable effect mingled in the images.  LCA's strength is to add unexpected flavours into its photos. Everything is blur for the LCA: the image, the focus, the control...

[Nikon FE2] This is my newest addition but it is the oldest model within my collection. I don't know if I am obsessed with mechanical cameras or with this charming black body. It was once a flagship camera of Nikon family during the late 1970s. I have spent quite a long time searching such a nicely maintained camera body.

My father once reminded me there are two kinds of people in the world. One loves taking photos and the other one only loves the camera itself. I think I am going in BOTH directions! I won't stop buying cameras if I can, and I will keep on experimenting photo-taking techniques.
