Crockpot Spaghetti
Sauce:
Ingredients:
1 1/2 t. Dry mustard
2 Lbs. Ground beef
3 T. Quick tapioca (Heaping)
1 Onion, chopped
2 t. Oregano
2 Garlic cloves, minced
1 t. Basil
1 can Mushrooms, drained
1 t. Salt
1 Green pepper, chopped
30 oz. Tomato sauce
28 oz. Can crushed tomatoes
Procedure:
Brown meat. Drain off all grease and then blot with paper towels
Spray Pam in crockpot. Add onion, garlic, crushed tomatoes, tomato
paste, salt, oregano, basil & mushrooms
Cover crockpot and turn heat to low
Cook for about 2 hours
Serve over cooked, drained spaghetti noodles
Notes:
Can be topped with parmesan cheese
Other ingredients such as cayenne pepper, worcestershire sauce,
tabbasco, herbs, ect. can also be added to taste
This sauce can be served over other types of pasta
Ingredients:
8 C. Water
1 Lbs. Navy beans, dried (2 1/2 cups)
4 oz. Salt pork (cut into small pieces, about 1 cup)
1 C. Onion, chopped
1/2 C. Molasses
1/4 C. Brown sugar, packed
1 t. Dry mustard
Procedure:
In saucepan bring water and beans to boiling; reduce heat and simmer,
covered, for 1 1/2 hours
Remove from heat and pour into bowl; cover and chill
Drain beans; reserve 1 cup liquid
Transfer beans and reserved liquid to crockery cooker
Stir in pork, onion, molasses, brown sugar, and mustard. Cover; cook
on low heat setting for 12 to 14 hours
Notes:
Makes 6 servings
Ingredients:
4 Lbs. Pork loin roast
Salt
Fresh ground black pepper
Crushed red pepper flakes
2 T. Sugar
1 C. White vinegar
1 C. Water
1/3 C. Ketchup
18 Hamburger buns
Procedure:
Trim fat from roast and place in slow cooker
Sprinkle roast with salt, pepper and crushed red pepper
Add sugar, vinegar and water
Cook on low for about 14 hours or overnight. When done remove roast
from cooker and place it in a skillet, reserving the juice
Flake or shred the roast, removing any fat
Mix the meat, some of the cooking juices and the ketchup. Simmer the
mixture over medium heat until juices evaporate
Serve on lightly toasted hamburger buns
Notes:
Makes up to 18 sandwiches
Can be garnished with lettuce and tomato
Ingredients:
29 oz. Tomato purée
12 oz. Tomato paste
16 oz. Tomato sauce
1 quart Water
2 1/2 T. Fresh parsley, chopped
1 T. Garlic salt
1 t. Salt
4 T. Parmesan cheese, grated
Procedure:
Place all the ingredients in crockpot. Stir
Cover and cook at 300°F for about 4 hours
Notes:
Other herbs and spices can be added to taste
Serve on top of pasta
Ingredients:
5 C. Water
1 C. Oatmeal
1/2 C. Dried fruit
1 dash Ground nutmeg
1 dash Ground mace
1 dash Ground cinnamon
Procedure:
Place water, cereal, and dried fruit in slow cooker. Stir
Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours
Notes:
The mixture should be like a thick soup, so do not add milk at the
table
Any kind of nut can also be added to this recipe
