May 19, 2007 - FAMILY PORTRAITS!

We have been able to spend a lot of quality time with Kari lately. Wednesdays may be our evenings with Kari while she is in school. We only have a few hours to spend with her, so this past Wednesday, Mandy thought it would be a good idea to get some portraits taken. We have been posting them like mad on each of our myspace sites, and so I posted them on my page. They are lowres files from the CD... Which yes, they are nice... but I am way too particular! I plan to scan the ones that we will be purchasing, and probably repost them. Enjoy!

An update that has taken me FOREVER to do. So first off, let me say HEY to everyone reading. It has been way too long since I have talked with everyone. And yes, I will be sending this link to one and all whom are important to me and my family. (Well that and if you happen to have myspace, live journal and I have your email!) I'll go ahead and say it now, bear with me because Mandy is the writer around the house, not me so much.

This update is different for me, because I am not one to really put a lot of time into them. When it came to keeping everyone up to date, Mandy would tell it all and if I did any kind of message, I would just link to her!

We are settled in nicely here in Holly Springs, North Carolina. We have been back from Iowa since June, so we have had some time to get comfortable. Mandy is working at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital in the Nero Ward. She works on average three nights a week, but takes on extra days here and there. She love what she does, and she is VERY good too. She keeps getting more job offers when she goes to a different department on days she offers her service.

Skylar is a 4th Grader at Holly Ridge Elementary. It worked out perfect that she was able to get enrolled there, because her Aunt Becky, excuse me, Mrs. Rackley works there. It didn't take long for her to be very comfortable, and now Becky says there are days that Skylar walks right past her, because she is busy with her friends… *laugh* I am very glad that she is and continues to do well. She will be turning 10 on November 30th.

We are able to see Kari more now that we have moved back to NC. The only reason we haven't been with her lately is due to the busy holiday season. We plan to do a lot more visiting, and hope she will be with us more. It is awesome that we all get along, and we have had many great outings since being back. This coming Saturday we will all get together and celebrate Kari and Skylars' birthdays. Kari will be turning SIX on December 4th.

Oh but of course, I couldn't leave out the little man! Evan is 9 months and is quite the little ball of energy. Since we've moved back, I have taken the role of Daddy Daycare. I didn't really plan it to work that way, but the job offers just weren't working with what income we need. And during the time that I was out and about looking for jobs, I have been already taken on that role and didn't realize it. So I am stepping away from the work force and watching over kids and house. The nice thing “work-wise”, is that I can still do what I need to do computer and design wise. The drawback is being without internet. Unfortunately for little man, I could ramble on and on, and I wouldn't want to leave all the good stuff out about him!

Since I am at home and do my job 24/7, he is the fella I am around all of the time… I think his first words will be… “Dad, I need my space!” He is crawling and crawling, and is on the verge of walking. I think not just walking, but there are many other soon to be events going on. It will all come about at once I bet! Walking and talking and getting into mischief! I am getting myself ready.
