Friday, May 18, Mandy and I went into Raleigh to have P.H.'s lawyer, Richard Gamble, finallize the construction loan. Mandy signed about 50 thousand papers, since she is the loan borrower. I had a few papers that I also co-signed for... like the deed. The Rackleys were able to finallize their loan on Thursday, but there was a bit of a mishap with ours. There was a bit of an issue with sending our information by way of computer... But it was all in order by Friday.
So, now it is official... even though our home is still in the works, we can do what we want on the land! It is still unclear when clearing will take place... I am writing this update on Saturday, and they hope to start clearing possibly Monday or Tuesday. It is never really clear how things get done. The scheduling is not always 100%.
It may be easy for me to do this type of update, but even before this construction closing, there were many other steps that were taken. We were able to customize our homes how we wished from the steps to the carpet... to the kitchen to the roofing... and so on... And then just recently, we were finishing up on our construction loan... Now the fun begins watching the contractors' crew go to work on the land! We hope to keep update with the process with pictures!
