Bertie Ballard may have been Bertie Pearson b. 21 March 1920 d. 30 Oct. 1996, Madison, GA; no other Bertie of that age was found in Morgan County; however, her obituary in The Madisonian lists Bertie Pearson's parents as Floyd and Mary Ballard; a friend of hers, Ivor Copelan-Doggett, has a picture of her from the late 1930s or early 1940s, and lists her name on the back as Birdie.
