CAREY COPELAND DIES JUNE 7 IN COVINGTON

   Carey E. Copeland, 73, died June 7 in Covington following a long illness. A native of Greene County, he resided in Mansfield at the time of his death.
   Mr. Copeland was retired from Bibb Manufacturing Company.
   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Ballard Copeland, Mansfield;
daughter, Mrs. Eugene Parker, Mansfield; brother, Mr. Willie Copeland,
Abbeville, South Carolina; sisters, Mrs. Ivor Doggett, Decatur, Mrs. Eloise Sidwell, Madison, and Mrs. Annette Wiley, Rutledge; grandchildren, Mr. Lanier Shropshire and Miss Tanya Parker, both of Covington, and one step- granddaughter, Mrs. Annette Cason, Covington. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
   Funeral services were held Sunday, June 9, at the Chapel at Harwell Funeral Home in Covington. The Reverend Hollis Lunsford officiated. Burial was in Carmel Cemetery in Mansfield.

Mr. Carey E. Copeland

   Mr. Carey E. Copeland of Covington, age 73, died here June 7, 1985, following a lengthy illness.  He was a native of Greene county, and he was retired from Bibb Mfg. Company.
   Funeral services were held Sunday, June 9, at the Chapel of Harwell Funeral Home with Rev. Hollis Lunsford officiating.  Interment was in Carmel Cemetery in Mansfield with J. C. Harwell and Son in charge of the arrangements.
   Serving as pallbearers were Mrs. Annie Ballard Copeland, Mansfield, daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Frances E.) Parker, Mansfield, brother, Mr. Willie Copeland, Abbeville, S.C., sisters, Mrs. Ivoe Doggett, Decatur, Mrs. Elouise Sidwell, Madison, Mrs. Annette Wiley, Rutledge, grandchildren, Mr. Lanier Shropshire, Covington, Miss Tanya Parker, Covington, stepgranddaughter, Mrs. Annette Caason, 4 greatgrandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

(typos not corrected; the phrase "serving as pallbearers" appears to be an error, and was probably meant to be "survivors."
