In the name God Amen. I Thomas Baugh of Dale Parish in the County of Chesterfield being of perfect mind and memory do make my last Will and Testament in the manner following
First I commend my soul into the Hands of Almighty God hoping to receive free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins and my Body I commit to the earth to be decently entered at the descretion of my Executor hereafter named as for what Estate it hath pleased Almighty God to bestow upon me I bequeath in manner following
First my will is that my Debts and Legacies hereafter given and my funeral charges be first paid by my Executor out of my Estate and that my Estate shall not be appraised.
Secondly I give to my son, Joseph Baugh one shilling Sterling
Thirdly I give to my son Thomas Baugh one shilling Sterling
Item I give to my son Abraham Baugh one Shilling Sterling
Item I give to my Daughter Martha Russell on shilling Sterling
Item I give to my Daughter Judith Farguson one shilling Sterling
Item I give to my Daughter Sarah Ashbrook one shilling Sterling
Item I give to my Daughter Jane Baugh on shilling Sterling
Item I give and Bequeath to my son James Baugh my part of the fishing place at Cobbs known by the name of Baughs to him the said James and his heirs forever. I also give to my son James the land I live on to him the said James and his heirs forever. I likewise give to my son James Baugh my land known by the name of France containing one Hundred Acres to him the said James and his heirs forever --
Item I give and bequeath to my son James all the rest of my Estate both real and personal to him the said James and his heirs forever. I do also ordain constitute and appoint my son James Baugh sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament. Witness my hand and Seal this Twentieth day of September in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven Hundred and fifty-one.
