Mary appears to be listed in two places in the 1850 Federal Census. She was listed with her mother, Catherine Grisham (Gresham), District 145, Greene Co., GA, and in the household of Robert Rea (indexed Robert Red), District 19, Chambers, AL. In both cases she was listed as Augusta, age 19, but in the Rea household her birth state was listed as North Carolina. Robert Rea's son, Franklin and Franklin's wife Laura (Mary's sister, also age 19, here indicated as born in Georgia), are also in the household.
After her sister Frances died, Mary married Frances's husband Albert Veazey in 1854.
