Miss Copelan Is Engaged To wed Ronald B. Ogletree In February

  Mr. and Mrs. Frazier Copelan, Jr. of Greshamville announce the engagement of their daughter, Hester LaVerne Copelan, to Ronald Bryant Ogletree, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Ogletree, of Greensboro.
  The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. A. M. Cochran of Greshamville and Mr. James Almond of Macon, and Mrs. Frazier Copelan, Sr., and the late Mr. Copelan of Greshamville.
  Miss Copelan attended Abraham Baldwin College and finished with a certificate in Secreterial Science.  She is now employed by the Mary-Leila Cotton Mills, Inc.
  Mr. Ogletree is the grandson of Mr. Fred O. Bryant and the late Mr. Bryant and the late Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Ogletree.
  The future bridegroom graduated from Greene County High School and attended North Georgia Technical and Vocational School.
  He manages the Ogletree Texaco Service Station in Greensboro.
  The wedding will be February 23, 1969 at the Fork Chapel Methodist Church, Greshamville.

As of this update, LaVerne Copelan-Ogletree is the Probate Court Judge of Greene County, GA; she has served since 1982.  From 1974 to 1982 she served as chief clerk of the Probate court.  The Georgia General Assembly commended her for her service in House Resolution 264 of the 2007-2008 Legislative Session.
