| Inez Sidwell OBITUARY The Madisonian, obituary, 12 May 1966: MRS. SHIRLEY YOUNG DIES Mrs. Shirley Young, mother of two children, died suddenly near her home at Apalachee Monday. Mrs. Young, 31 was the former Inez Sidwell and grew up in Apalachee and attended Morgan County High School. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfonza Sidwell. She was married to Shirley Young, Apalachee farmer. Aside from her husband and parents, she is survived by two daughters, Deborah, 13, and Sandra, 10, of Apalachee, three sisters, Mrs. Arthur Godwin, Mrs. Howard Randall, Apalachee, and Mrs. Jimmy Goodson, Macon; two brothers, Grady Sidwell, Madison, and J.T. Sidwell, Eatonton, grandmothers, Mrs. Stella Sidwell and Mrs. Copelan. Funeral services were held at two p.m. at Apalachee Baptist Church, of which she was a member. The Rev. Larry Kirk officiated. Interment was in Apalachee Cemetery. W.C. Hemperley was in charge of arrangements. Inez, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alphonza Sidwell, was born and reared in this community. A sweet, unassuming person, a good neighbor, she leaves many who mourn her death.
