This family seems to have disappeared from the census during 1870 and 1880. They may have lived in the Oklahoma Territory during a part of that time, up to at least 1880, and they apparently lived there at the time of Francis' death in 1918. Oklahoma did not become a state until 16 Nov. 1907, and no census was taken there until 1900. However, in 1883 and 1885, at least two of their children were born in Arkansas.
