1 April 1680: Edward Hatcher, son of William Hatcher, of Varina Parish, Henrico Co., dec'd, to Benjamin Hatcher, son of said William Hatcher, for sake of quiet and peaceable settlement of estate left by their father and to avoid future suits and quarrels, confer each to the other 1/2 of personal estate left by their father. Edward grants to Benjamin 200 acres of land at Varina, lately in occupation of said William, and one tract called "Pigg in the Bole" in same county, near land of Thomas Holmes, 100 acres; also one tract called "Turkey Island", 150 acres. [establishes William as his father and Benjamin as his brother]

1 AUG. 1683: Benjamin Hatcher, my brother, has purchased of me, Edward Hatcher of Henrico Co., a piece of land called "Turkey Island Point", 150 acres; which land was purchased by my father William Hatcher, of Daniel and John Price. This land was sold by my said brother to John Pleasants 18 Oct. 1681. I, for more perfect assurance of said land, release all claim to John Pleasants. 22 Dec. 1682 . Wit: Richard Kennon, Tho. 1 FEB. 1686, RECORDED FIRST: Three years since, my father Edward Hatcher [Recording error made at the time; Edward's father was William] gave to my daughter Mary Hatcher 1 sow pig which has increased to 3 head of hogs, killed by me this year; therefore for love & affection to my said daughter, give her 1 black cow calf. Also I have one brown heifer whose increase was given to my said daughter by John Jameson. I also give to my other daughter Martha Hatcher 1 yearling black cow calf. If either daughter die under age 17, the other is to get her share. 1 Feb. 1686 Wit: Hen. Randolph, Wm Hatcher Signed: Edward (EH) Hatcher Recorded 1 Feb. 1686. RECORDED SECOND: Several years ago Edward Hatcher of Henrico Co., for love and affection gave to his grandchild Mary Gower, daughter of Richard and Martha Gower, 1 cow calf and 1 mare, which have since increased to 5 head cattle & 1 mare & filly. Gower has disposed of 2 of the cattle. Now for good will & affection Edward Hatcher and Richard Gower give to Mary Gower 2 red cows, 1 brown cow, 1 yearling mare filly and various household items in possession of Richard Gower, which said Richard will keep until Mary is 21 or married. 1 Jan. 1686. 1 JUNE 1686: Edward Hatcher for affection to Henry Turpin, son to his daughter Sarah and her husband Matthew Turpin, 1 brown cow calf, when he is 18. 1 June 1686.

1 DEC. 1694: RECORDED FIRST: Edward Hatcher, Sr. of Henrico Co., for love & affection to my son John Hatcher, land where I dwell, bounded by the river, by land given by me to my son William Hatcher, and by the swamp, 42 2/3 acres. If John dies without issue, then to my son Seth Hatcher. Also I give to my son Edward Hatcher 46 2/3 acres between his brother John and Henry Loone, and if he dies without issue, then to my son Seth. To my son Seth Hatcher, all the plantable highland between his brother William and mouth of Reed Marsh branch. 20 Nov. 1694  Wit: Edward Tanner, Wm Cocke Signed: Edward (EH) Hatcher.
