Listed in the 1840 Federal Census, Eastern Division, Madison, KY, age 30-40, with two males ages 15-20 and 20-30, five females ages less than 5, 5-10, 20-30, 40-50, and 60-70 (the latter probably his mother), and three male and three female slaves; thre persons in the household were engaged in agriculture.
