Martin Fortin, ah my Cross-Country/ Track & field coach. Since the beggining of my carreer he supported me, and now I feel I should talk about him a little bit, for he gave me a chance, and he deserves this. | ||||||
| Like I said, since the beggining of my trainings with the Cross-Country team, my coach supported me all the time. I got to admit though, I wasn't that great of a runner when I started, but even If I looked like I wasn't good enough for the team, this great soul still gave me a chance and finally I prooved myself. When he realized I was getting better and surpassed his expectations, that being the second year, he started to like me more as a runner and I was very proud to be under his wing. The great Mr. Fortin was starting to sound as the father I never had. Anyway, he always encouraged us, the team, and that reminds me of a game: GDI soldiers wan't to win, and infact I like to win. Our team of runners was doing great, even extremely great. With all the training we had, the MSA division was really starting to kick ass. It seems that threw out the three years I have spent as official runner at the Mont Saint-Anne high, I was in a way the soul captain of the team. I am the proof that you may start weak as an orphin but you can rapidly grow strong as the wind. The wind being devastating in this region of course ;). I like to think of myself as the captain of the team, for I gave orders much of the time to keep my runners head straigth up and feeling prime. Normally I was second in command under my mentor. Now it is my fourth year of track & field. Unfortunately I cannot participate at any competitions anymore since I'm 18, but I still release every ounce of strengh that I have to push my efforts to the limit. I'm not going at MSA high anymore so my trainings have became inpedenpant. I greatly feel that my carreer has a meaning and I will do everything I possibly can to keep what I built with my coach invincible. I wanted to thank you Martin Fortin, to have given me a *second chance at life*. You always were an inspiration. You made me understand for what I was living for and that anything is possible. I know my destiny now and believe me I'm readier than ever! |
