Alcohol is advertised and promoted everwhere- you would think it was a good thing to buy, sell &
drink.Young people are told it is the popular thing to do. Every age is seduced by this Demon of
Drink.Look at what alcohol will do for you.The Bible word for this condition is drunkard.
We are told in Proverbs 23:29-35..that the drunkard has woe,sorrow,contention,babbling,wounds,
red eyes. Booze encourages adultery, makes blasphermers out of otherwise decent people and
they seek it again, over & over. Not only is it connected with the above sorrows and sins, but it
takes the food out of the mouth of babes, makes men beat their wives, causes so much theft that
almost everone has been robbed in some form. It stupeflies the mind, blinds the person to what they are doing and is causing such havoc in the world that it is hard to belive & yet so few cry out against it. Our goverments sell it and then arrest those who drink it.They do it for the tax
dollars and care nothing for the precious souls screaming in hell for a drink of whiskey or beer.
Alcohol is connected to sodomy...Genesis 9:20-21"And Noah began to be a husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within
his tent..." and in verse 24-"And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what the younger son
had done unto him." How many have been abused because of this Demon Drink that causes
dulliness of the brain and sin in the body?
Alochol is connected with incest....Genesis 19:31-36 -in verse 32 " Come and let us make our
father drink wine and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father." And in
verse 36-"Thus were both the daughters of lot with child by their father." A wicked sin caused
by alcohol.
Alcohol is connected with idolatry...Daniel 5:1-4..."Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a
thousand of his lords , and drank wine before the thousand...They drank wine and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone..."Why would anyone want a
god they had fashioned with their own hands? Why does man worship that which is inferior to
him?Alcohol helps cause this great sin against God.
Alcohol is connected with judgment...Habakkuk 2:15 "Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour
drink, that puttest thy bottle to him; and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on
their nakedness! If you help others to drink booze , someday God`s judgment will fall on you.
Alcohol is connected with hell..1 Corinthians 6:9-10" Know ye not that the unrighteous shall
not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not decceived ; neither fornicators , nor idolaters ,nor
adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind. Nor thieves ,nor covetous,
nor drunkards, nor reviliers, nor extortioners shall inherit the kingdom of God.
But there is hope for the drunkard...if he will turn to Christ...1 Corinthians 6:11 "And such were
some of you; but ya are washed, but ye are sanctified; but ye are justifed in the name of the
Jesus,and by the Spirit of our God."
Our Lord has said turn from your wicked ways and I will receive you...Look unto me all the ends
of the earth, come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden...take this awful weight off
your shoulder and flee to the eternal God that can dry you out & give you a decent life and
home and make your spouse and children happy.
Romans 10:9,10,13"-That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt belive
in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,thou shalt be saved. For with the heart
man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
I was a drunk for many years & could not quite. When I called on God,He not only saved me
He gave me a new & better life. What He has done for me and others, He will do for you if you ask HIM.
