These pictures were taken from atop Hurricane Ridge in Olmpic National Park.   Elev.: 2,540 ft.

A beautiful day for us with plenty of sunshine despite the chill.  We were bundled up, but it was worth it as we walked along the ridge.

We drove to the top in about 20 minutes.  The sudden change in elevation and oxygen didn't sit well with Jalyn.  She had a little altitude sickness, which I remember well from my days at Philmont.

As walked along the ridge, we stopped every 20 ft and looked out and were always amazed at what a different picture it made.  It was always breath-taking though.

This is Lake Cresent.  Completely unrelated to Hurricane Ridge, but still an awesome sight to see.  I wish the scuba divers weren't in this photo, but you get the picture.  The lake is gigantic.  I don't have measurements, but it stretched out forever.  Highway 101 winds along the side of it with 20 mph speed limits for quite some time.
