DAD JOINS A RECORD CLUB

Also by this time, dad had joined the Columbia House Record Club. Back in those days you didn't have 1000's of selections to choose from. You chose a category, and each month you got a new selection, you'd play it to decide if you wanted it, and if not, you sent it back. Anyone who's every been in one of these clubs knows that you sometimes get stuff you don't really want but the hassle of sending the unwanted merchandise back is more trouble then it's worth. So let me give you a little run down of some of these LPs.

("Cattle Call, Ruby Ann, Wolverton Mountain") ,

Trini Lopez's Greatest Hits

.

Is it any wonder that when people ask me what kind of music I like, I say anything from Mozart to Twisted Sister? Groups and artists from the late 50's and early 60's are my favorite. But dad and mom also listened to gospel, rhythm and blues, folk, and soundtracks from Broadway musicals.
