Arrived in Bombay. On to Delhi!
29 December:
We had an unexpected night's stay in Mumbai (Bombay), so we are running a little behind schedule and a little low on sleep. But, here are some pictures from our first day in Delhi at the Marriott Welcom Hotel. Everyone is alive and well!
30 December: We visited a McDonalds - no beef on the menu! We went to the Amber Palace in Jaipur and had a very exciting jeep ride!
1 January:
We were on the steps of the Taj Mahal when the ball dropped in Times Square, New York. Check the 'Photos of our Trip' page for our latest photos!
2 January: We are off on another flight soon, but hope to have more photos for you tomorrow.
3 January: We saw incredible temples today. Most of the pictures cannot be posted on the website without getting it an 'R' rating! Your family member will have to tell you about it when he/she gets home!
Then, some group members went to a game preserve, others toured the town, and many of us will go to an Indian Dance Program tonight.
Our flight to Varanasi was cancelled as a result of fog also, so we are staying again in Khajuraho an extra night. We hope to fly on to Varanasi tomorrow.
Today is Tuesday 6th. Because of travel delays, we have had to cancel the Chandigarh leg of our trip. We are now in Delhi, again at the Marriott Welcom Hotel, and we will remain here until our flight leaves for home very early Thursday morning (12:05 AM) India local time). Everyone is doing fine. We have seen many, fascinating things and will have many stories to tell when we get home!
