| We traveled to Sarnath to visit the spot where Buddha preached his first sermon. One of the pictures shows a replica of an earlier temple that was destroyed. Nearby is a bodhi or banyan tree that was planted from the seeds of the very tree under which Buddha received Enlightenment. The tree shown in the pictures below is that tree. | ||||||||||||||||
