THE GANGES |

|
One evening, we took a boat ride on the Ganges River. During the boat ride, we each lit a candle that was contained in a small, paper cup that also contained marigold flowers. After we made our wishes, we then dropped the lit candles into the Ganges and watched them float into the distance. The picture on the right shows two of our candles as they floated away. |

While on our boat ride, we also watched bodies being cremated. We were not allowed to photograph during this part of the process. Your family member or friend can tell you about it, but it was an amazing experience. |
