The project illustrated the concepts of object oriented design and allowed me hands on experience on a CASE tool. I gained experience of leading a project through its requirements, analysis and design phases and also prompted our team to analyze how the system could be implemented in a client/server environment. The system enables the engineers to be more efficient by allowing them to access the organized data on defects, which is stored in an Oracle database. By accessing these recurring defects, problems can be effectively managed and it reduces the amount of recalls on the vehicles, which in turn increases customer satisfaction.
