~~~~ SPEEDRUSH #3 MINI-RUSH ~~~~ RULES ~~~~
1) Game Invites are to use the 3 day time limit.  Games must start by April 1st 2005.  The Director will do a random draw for playing colours.  In ROUND 2 the Director will again do a random drawn for colours when each group size is determined - if there is an even number of games, you will have equal games as yellow and green.  Vacation requests are allowed as long as you complete the game in 30 days.
2) Players must play as fast as reasonably possible, and all ROUND 1 games must be finished in 30 days.
Try to average a few moves a day.  If the game lasts longer than 30 days the Director shall check timestamps to determine whether the game should be declared a draw, or if there is a winner based on participation, moves or vacation..
3) In ROUND 1 there will be four groups of four players.  You play each player in your group once, with points allocated as follows: Win = 2 points, Draw = 1 point, Loss = 0 points.  At the end of ROUND 1, if there is a tie with-in a group the placings shall worked out by the Director as follows:
Two 1st's - go to the 1st's group in Round 2
Three 1st's - go to the 2nd's group in Round 2
Four 1st's - go to the 3rd's group in Round 2
4) In ROUND 2 there will again be four groups of players, with 60 days in which to finish both games.  The groups will be determined on Round 1 points, and there may be more than three players in one group.  You play each player in your group once, with points allocated as listed above for ROUND 1. If you are the only player in your group you have already reached your final position and will not play in Round 2 [sorry !].  If any Round 2 group gets 7 members [very unlikely], it will be split in two and that group will have a Round 3 [and are limited to 30 day games in Round 2].  At the end of ROUND 2, there will then be a placing for each player [and ties are allowed].  The player in 1st place after ROUND 2 is the SpeedRush #3 Champion.
5) Games Statistics Visible.  As in all other League Tournaments, Game Statistics MUST be visible.  The Director would prefer you to also have your Games Visible, however that is not a requirement of participation.  If the Director is required to make a ruling on any games, players MUST react to a request from the Director within 48 hours to make their games visible.  If a player does not follow this request he/she will forfeit the game in question.
6) The SpeedRush Director is to be contacted if any problems or disputes arise regarding results. All decisions by the SpeedRush Director are final.  However, should the conflict involve the Director [who is also participating], then The Viking (Jens Kristian) will make a final decision.
7) Game Results.
Please send all game results to either the SpeedRush Director
Santa Claustrophobia or me
[IYT = BlueGumTrees] so that I can post the results on this website.
