~~~~  RULES: DOUBLE ELIMINATION ROOKIE COMPETITION  ~~~~
1) ELIGIBILITY: Only players who meet the following criteria may compete in the Rookie of the Year 2004 competition:
a) Joined IYT on or after January 1st 2004, or
b) Have played less than 20 Sabotage games in total (across all variations).
2) Rookie Double Elimination Brackets are set for 18 players.
Seeding positions will allocated by the Director, based on the small amount of information available for the Rookies.
3) The HIGHER seed
[has a *H* following the name] in each pairing chooses colours. In other words, the HIGHER Seed either chooses to play Yellow and sends an invite, or the HIGHER Seed chooses to play Green and requests that the Lower Seed send an invite.
4) Game Invites are to use the 7 day time limit. Players must accept game invitations within 7 days otherwise they forfeit the game. Twice during the game you may request of your opponent a change of the time limit to a longer period, (this is to allow for vacations, etc). Your opponent MUST agree. Upon your return you MUST request the time limit return to 7 days.
5) ROUND 1 - All games must finish with-in 90 days. Any that are not finished will be viewed by the Director and a ruling made, which may or may not include allowing extra time to finish.
ROUND 2 - All games must finish with-in 90 days, as per above.
ROUND 3 onwards - games will not have a set finish time, but please play as fast as you are able.
6) The Rookie 2004 Double Elimination Grand Final will follow the usual Double Elimination play.
In other words, if the player from the Loser's Bracket loses the first game, it's all over with the Winner winning. However if the player from the Winner's Bracket loses the first game a second game will be played to determine the winner. The Champion is the Rookie of the Year for 2004.
7) The Competition Director is to be contacted if any problems or disputes arise during the competition. All decisions by the Director are final.
8) As in all previous League Competitions, a player's Game Statistics must be turned on.  Please send all game results to the Director Santa Claustrophobia so that results can be posted on this website.
