The Back to Basic Sabotage Competition is to use the original IYT Sabotage game.
Due to the length of the original Sabotage game, only 16 Players are able to compete.

~~~~  RULES: ROUND ROBIN COMPETITION  ~~~~
1) In ROUND 1 you play each person in your division once. As the Director also wishes to participate, the four Divisions will be seeded by members of the Sabotage League Committee.  Only the Winner moves to the next round.  If a tie for first place occurs then both players advance to Round 2, however the result of their Round 1 game will be moved to Round 2, thus they will not play each other again in Round 2.

2) ROUND 2 is the FINAL Round Robin where you will play each Division Winner once.  The player having the best record will be declared the Back To Basic 2006 Sabotage Champion.  If there is a tie for first place then the results from Round 1 will also be included, and if there is still a tie then the two players will be declared co-Champions.

3) Game invites are to be for a 7 day time limit.  However, twice during the game you may request of your opponent a change of the time limit to a longer period, (this is to allow for vacations, etc). Your opponent MUST agree.  Upon your return you MUST request the time limit return to 7 days.  All time-outs are final.

4) The League Director will make a random draw to determine who will play yellow and green for each game in Round 1 and Round 2.

5) If you plan to invoke the "draw due to no piece capture" rule you must notify your opponent a minimum of six moves in advance.  You must also notify the League Director when you do so in order to avoid misunderstandings.  The League Director can at will decide a game to become a draw, regardless of what the players wish for, if the IYT "draw due to no piece capture" rule is applicable - meaning no capture for at least 50 moves in Basic Sabotage.

6) The League Director is to be contacted if any problems or disputes arise regarding results.  All decisions by the League Director are final.  Anyone showing gross unsportsmanship behaviour against their fellow League players will forfeit their game.

7) As in all previous League Seasons, a player's Game Statistics must be turned on.  Please send all game results to the League Director SL - The Viking (Jens Kristian) so that I can post the results on this website.
