Lora Gill lives in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley in Western Montana. In the summer of 2000 Lora signed up for a, one day, on location, watercolor class,at Fort Missoua, taught by Sue Quande. Lora had not picked up a paint brush since her college days and an old flame was ignited in her again. She immediately became utterly and completely captivated by the nuances of watercolor painting. Lora now works primarily in watercolor, and her subject matter is varied, from landscapes, critters, people and still lifes. In 2004 Lora began working pastels into some of her watercolors to give them an extra punch. Lora is a member of the Stevensville Art & Sculpture Society, The Missoula Watercolor Socity and The Bitterroot Arts Guild. |
