| This is a good German recipe for stuffed pork chops. You may have to ask your butcher to cut them for you (about double the usual thickness). | |||||||||||||||||||||
| Stuffed Pork Chops | |||||||||||||||||||||
| 4 double (thick) pork chops 2 slices stale bread, cut in small cubes 1 cup chopped apple 1 slice onion, minced |
1/2 cup raisins 4 tablespoons butter 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup dark rum |

| Slice pork chops through the center and put aside. Saute bread, apple, onions and raisins in butter. Stuff chops with this mixture. Sprinkle outside of chops with salt. Bake in roasting pan at 325 degrees fehrenheit until done. After chops have started to brown, baste occasionally with rum. **May be served with sauerkraut & steamed potatoes** |
