| (Meatless) Mincemeat Pie | |||||||||||||||||||

| This recipe makes enough filling for 2 regular pies or one deep dish pie. You can also make this pie withouth a crust top if preferred. |

| 1 700ml jar PC Brand 5 Minced Fruit (Suet-Free) 1 cup chopped walnuts 2 Macintosh Apples (peeled, cored and chopped) 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup rum 1 tablespoon lemon juice 4 Tenderflake original frozen pie crusts or 2 deep dish pie crusts |

| Combine mincemeat, walnuts, apples, sugar, lemon juice and rum in a bowl. Mix well. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Take filling out of refigerator and let come to room temperature. Prepare pie crusts as indicated in directions on the box. Stir filling and pour into pie shell(s). Top with full crust and make slits or make a lattice top. Bake in preheated oven on low shelf for 40 minutes or until golden brown. |
