| 4 whole chicken breasts, skinless-boneless | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Marinade: 4 tablespoons oil 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1 tablespoon soy sauce (optional) 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme 12 teaspoon dried basil leaves Dash of pepper 2 tablespoons lemon juice 2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed 3 whole cloves |

| Rinse chicken breasts, pat dry. Blend together oil, soy sauce, lemon juice and brown sugar. Place chicken in a single layer in a glass dish. Sprinkle with garlic, pepper, thyme, basil and cloves. Pour marinade over chicken. Let stand in refrigerator for 4 hours or overnight, turning breasts over from time to time. Bake: at 325 degrees until tender BBQ: Grill for 5 minutes on eash side or until tender Garnish with fresh thyme, basil or parsley. Serve with chutney, rice and green salad. |
