This is a great recipe for old fashioned baked beans!
Baked Beans
1 pound white pea beans
1 28-oz can whole tomatoes
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1/2 - 1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 pound bacon (cut in 1 inch lengths)
2 tablespoons ketchup
1/4 cup molasses
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons white vinegar
pepper, onion salt and garlic powder to taste
Rinse beans and soak in water over night.
Next morning, boil beans for 1/2 hour in the same water.
Add remaining ingredients.
Bring to a boil, stirring so beans do not stick.
Simmer for about 1 1/2 - 2 hours or until tender.
