19/Mar/04 Scarface R2 S.E., Confirmed Release After the release of the Special Edition in Region 1 format and the discontinuation of Scarface on DVD in R1, there was alot of talk about a possible R1 release. Well, now we've got it, it should be in shops on the 29th of this month and I reserved my copy in HMV just a little over a week ago. Yahoooo. You can find out all about it here. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ 02/Feb/04 Martin-Scorsese.net, a sad end During the weekend the sad news hit home that martin-scorsese.net was no more. The site, which began life not so long before this one came to an end due to a corruption in one of its files. The site was a message board which also contained pictures and information on some of Scorsese's, and the film industry's, best works. Scorsese and his accomplishments were discussed here in an appropriate, and sometimes idolising manner. I (user name "smoke") would like to express my thanks to Derek Soviak and the rest of the moderators and members of the board. We held something special. If any of you want to contact me by email, please do not hesitate. And to everyone else, please visit this site to hear its final words. Take a look at the new-look home-page for SCARFACE (1983)! The rest of the site has not of yet received so much attention but all have been slightly tweaked to give the place a welcome jazz of life. Also the end of last month saw the introduction of the new Scarface Poster Store. It is currently in affiliation with Allposters.com but you will soon be able to view posters from other sites and buy them from the respective companies. I hope everyone is pleased with the new look site and I would value your comments and ideas. I will keep you up to date with any news right here and it will be up to date because I visit the site at least three times per week. Really exciting great news. Dejohn, an up and coming, extremely talented author has just published his first novel, " The Return of SF." He very kindly sent me a copy to review for you! I just received it and have already read one third of the book! Already this novel looks like a winner. I read 100 pages straight through without taking it from my hands.
