Feliz Navidad y Ano
Nuevo Prospero
Another year has flown by and what it year it was. The blessings far outweighed the trials and
tribulations. As you can see by the new
masthead, we have a new façade thanks to the efforts of some young people from
Canada who came through Hero Holidays. My
“new” office building is nearly finished with thanks to more Hero Holiday folks
as well as men from His Hands and Feet, Chillowock, B.C. Canada. Deb and Larry Wilson, Lodi, CA, brought much
appreciated and needed bottled water, an air conditioner to be used next
summer, food, a stereo, art supplies, clothes, funds for expenses, and many
other valuable items. They personally
blessed me with a small generator that I can use at my residence when my small
solar system is not enough. Eight large
boxes of new toys, games, art supplies, and some clothing items were sent all
the way from Surrey, B. C. donated by the children of Gracepoint Community
Church. Thanks to the men and women of
His Hands and Feet, B.C. who had our water storage tank finished as well as
most of the interior of our new office building. Thanks also to Kerri Hutton who has been
fundraising in Canada for us. We are so deeply thankful and pray the Lord’s
blessings in return to all who participated on our behalf. ♥
Christmas Party and BBQ
Saturday, December 8th, was a day we will long
remember. The saints from Living Waters
Fellowship, Coronado Island, CA sponsored a Christmas celebration for all our
children and all their brothers and
sisters. Sixty children received
“shoebox” gifts and enjoyed delicious barbequed hamburgers with all the
trimmings. A special homemade treat of
various cookies was also on the menu.
What a nice day we had as the Lord held back the rains for a few hours
so we could all enjoy ourselves outside.
Special thanks go to Roxanne Rowan and Brandy
Cook for their efforts in spearheading this special day and to all the
people who participated with wonderful gifts, delicious cookies and service. Thanks to Pastor Rance Cook for
bringing tables and chairs and BBQ and to Cheryl Brummett who came in her
clown outfit and created balloon art for all the kids. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. ♥

School Assistance Program
Heartfelt thanks go to a very special lady, Elle
Ericksson, who has been raising funds in Canada for school uniforms for
our School Assistance Program and to our friend, Mac Sterrett, Staunton,
Virginia. Due to their efforts, 9 children
are now attending school that otherwise may never have had the chance. ♥
We are seeking support partners to help meet more of our needs. These include:

rooms

A Note from the Editor:
Lord
willing, I plan to be in the States for Christmas with my family and friends and
for a little R & R until mid-January.
Except for December 24 and 25, rainy days, and New Year’s Day, the
daycare center will be open and in the capable hands of Servando and Martha
Huerta. I thank the Lord for them
everyday. I will check emails
periodically, so please continue to stay in touch. Hope your Thanksgiving was bountiful. May your Christmas be all you hoped for and
your New Year blessed from the start.
Ruth-Ann. ♥
