Kids Korner:
Our
featured children this month are brothers, David and Jabes. Their mother brought them to us some
months ago to care for while she works.
Their father was absent from the home but we understand that he has
returned. These boys are quiet and
unassuming; very shy and withdrawn.
They are very handsome young men and we look forward to sending them to
school in September.

School Assistance Program:
We
would like very much to be able to help some of our daycare parents send their
children to school and to do that, we need your help. We want to assist the parents by obtaining
the uniform (which all school children wear here) and a backpack. The cost of these items is approximately
$200 (American). The parents would
be responsible for tuition, supplies, attending school meetings, any other
expenses involved, seeing that homework is done and good grade averages
kept. We have 7 children eligible
in September. If you would like to help our impoverished children begin their
education and partner with us and their parents, please send your donations to
the I.D.T. address indicated in the next column and include a note designating
your donation to La Huerta Guarderia School
Assistance Program. If you decide to help, send us your physical address by

We
are seeking support partners who could help to meet more of our needs. These include:

new entrance gates

wind turbines in the roofs and/or ceiling fans in all the rooms
