Christmastime
is almost here. Where did this year
go? Pray your Thanksgiving was a
blessed time with family and friends.
As our hearts turn to thoughts of the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ,
we know that “Jesus is the reason for the season.” Our Lord suffered very humble beginnings just as many of our
little children in daycare. Most of
them come from fieldworker families, whose salaries are low and expenses high,
especially with several children in the family. As a result, many of the children in the neighborhood cannot go
to school or be properly attended to while their parents work. Many families have adopted dogs they cannot
afford to care for either and they run loose, sometimes sickly, and foraging
for food as well. And so on goes the
troubles of impoverished peoples.
Servando, Martha, and I want to do all we can within our abilities to
help meet the needs of these humble families.
But we need your help. Please
consider sending a monthly donation to help us accomplish our work. We thank you in advance for your thoughtful
consideration. We thank God for those
who have already contributed. Twenty
dollars goes a lot farther here than in the States. Traditionally here in Mexico, if any gifts are to be exchanged,
it will be done on “El Dia de Los Reyes
Magos” (3 Kings Day) the Day of Epiphany, January 6th, the day the
Christ Child was found by the Magi. Let
us know soon if you’d like to help us celebrate with our little ones.
