Shabbat Across Rutgers
Step by Step Process
1. Reserve rooms in each of the student centers for the date.  Douglass and Busch Faculty Dining Room are the most practical and any room in the Livingston Student Center. 
2. Make a flyer and post it all over campus.
3. Place a classified ad in the Daily Targum far in advance and a � page ad in the Targum the few days before the event.
4. Do some sort of Shabbat table program the two weeks before the event to raise awareness on the campus.
5. Find a planning committee of students from each of the campuses to work together.
6. Order extra meals for the caterers.  (We ordered for 15 people on each campus)
7. Order challah rolls and dessert platters from Lachmeynu or Acme.
8. Make sure that there is soda and wine.  If there is not, order some before the event.
9. Buy decorations to put on the table and make a welcome sign to hang on the door to make the environment as welcoming as possible.

AT THE EVENT:

1. Set the table nicely and lay out all of the food and materials nicely.
2. Introduce yourself, introduce the Ross Fellowship, welcome everyone, explain Shabbat Across America.
3. Shalom Aleichem, Kiddush, Motzi, washing hands
4. Serve dinner, foster discussion during dinner about what students would like to see on their campus.
5. D�var Torah/Discussion
6. Birkat Hamazon
7. Either bring the leftovers, utensils and other materials with you or have prearranged to be able to leave it all in the room.
