HLC
(Hillel Leadership Council)
The student leaders of Hillel make up the Hillel Leadership Council.  These are the �empowered� students who create most of the programs.  The HLC is a student organization on campus so it has a separate budget than Hillel, the campus ministry.  These students put their heart and soul and a LOT of time into making their student organization run.  As a JCSC, the students involved on the HLC are not part of your target groups, but you will see them all the time in the building.  Rabbi Reed supervises them and meets with each member of the executive board individually for an hour once a week.  She also sits in on all of their meetings.  The HLC Executive Board meets every week and the general board meets every other week.  They are a great resource.  They are also very invested in outreach and engagement, so it is important to keep them updated on what you�re doing, and vice versa. 

The HLC has an executive board, which consists of five members, the President, Financial VP, Israel/Education VP, Core Communities VP and Social Programming/Secretarial VP.  Each of these members has a committee of general board members.  The general board consists of ten students whose positions include Education Chair, Israel Chair, Kesher (Reform) Chair, Koach (Conservative) Chair, Mesorah (Orthodox) Chair, Community Service Chair, Publicity Chair, Social Chair, and Welcome Chair.  Additionally, there are appointed positions and committees for more specific programs/groups such as Day Without Hate Chair, Theater Chair, Co-op Chair, Notzezim Chair, etc.
