| Getting Psyched for Birthright!! Andrew, Esther and I all worked together to plan the birthright orientation meetings for the participants on birthright. There were three orientations for the winter trip so that the students could get to know each other and we could pass along information about the trip to them in person. In addition to the orientation meetings to get them excited about going to Israel for FREE, I also hand delivered notes attached to mini Israel-grams to each participant. Included in the Israel-grams were Israel pins, Israeli bazooka and Israeli chocolate. The students appreciated this personal touch and I had a lot of fun making them. In the note, I wrote: Shalom! Hello! We are SO excited that you will be traveling to Israel with us on Birthright 2002! Start getting psyched for ten awesome days of adventure, exploration, learning and a LOT OF FUN! I cant wait to see you next Monday at 9PM at Hillel for our first orientation. Enjoy this first taste of Israel! Lindsey Hebrew Phrase of the Week: Next year in Jerusalem. Below are the three agendas for the birthright Orientation meetings for the winter trip. The orientations were pretty successful. Next year, it is important to work with Alisha, the Birthright fellow, on the orientations. She has a lot of ideas of things to rework, remove and add to the orientations to make them most beneficial to the students and the staff!! |
