13th January 2003 I receive Packet3 from US embassy in Warsaw where INS forwarded NOA2
21nd January 2003 I fax and email OF-169 form (document check), stating I am ready for interview
31st of January 2003 Fiance and I receive email from embassy stating that we need an addtional "name check" (since I was born in Russia) and that it can take "several months"
31st of March 2003 Interview is posted on a consular's website and it is scheduled for an April 10th
10th of April 2003 Interview is a success! We both were present at the embassy.
14th of April 2003 We arrive to USA (POE - JFK NY), temporary Work Authorization is issued
15th of April 2003 Arrival to LAX
22nd of April 2003 I receive my SSN number. It will enable me to apply for driver's licence
29th of June 2003 Wedding at Holy Virgin Mary Russian Orthodox Church in Los Angeles
13th of Sep 2003 AOS forms sent to Los Anegeles BCIS (forms I-485, I-765 and fingerprint fee)
22nd October 2003 Fingerprints taken at INS Application Center (Gardena, CA)
24nd November 2003 Received EAD card in Los Angeles INS Office
14th May 2004 Called to the National Customer Service and inquired about our AOS delay
29th of June 2004 Our fisrt wedding anniversary
30th September 2004 Drove to N. Los Angeles INS to renew EAD - denied - "too early"
29th November 2004 AOS interview in Santa Ana, CA (do not know why they transfered our case). Success! They put a stamp in my passport the same day. Did not ask for any vaccinations (and medical) I have not had. Alla is now a conditional US resident.
20th December 2004 An actual plastic green card arrives in the mail.
29th June 2005 Our second wedding anniversary
