From the Gold Coast of South Carolina to
the lazy streets of Savannah, Georgia, Dr. Michael Preston and Dr. Kayla
Kilmer elude the HMOs mercenaries until a final confrontation on Tico Island
in The Tropic of Cancer. REVEALING THE COVENANT is similar in many ways to
Nelson DeMille’s PLUM ISLAND. A third novel about two small
boys (one mulatto raised black and one white) set in the racially
charged 1950s was completed in August 2004. Lightning
Tree, is a coming of age epic set in the 1950s that follows
three generations of the Harris family. Young Nathan Harris grows up in a
rural farm setting deep in Mississippi isolated from the rest of the world.
Chained to the farm of his ancestors, craving love and attention his father
cannot provide, he falls for a colored girl and has an affair that changes
him forever. This book is the first in a possible trilogy. The book was
released by Van Wander Press
on Jan. 01, 2007. On September 8, 2004, Rusty completed a
screenplay based on his novel Lightning Tree. This was his
first attempt at writing a screenplay. BIO Continued on page 4 |
