I have been flyfishing and flytying since an early teenager. I started fishing PA trout streams at a much younger age. My grandfather was a big influence on my early fishing career. When I was about 12 or 13, he bought me my first fly rod and also dug out his old flytying materials that he used as a kid. This was my start into the sport. I can honestly say that for the first 10 years or so, I didn't have a clue as to what I was doing, but I did catch a few fish and I was having fun. It wasn't until I met up with a great group of guys one day while I was fishing Oil Creek in Northwest Pa that I started to really learn what the sport of flyfishing is all about. I haven't looked back since! I am fortunate to live in Pennsylvania with it's almost endless supply of good trout water. I fish all over the state and hope to put a little of everywhere I fish on this site. Oil Creek is my homewater and I can be found on the stream most everyday that conditions allow. I also fish the world famous streams of Central Pa quite often as well as yearly trips to McKean County and Potter County. I try to make a yearly trip also to the Deleware River. On a personal note, I live in Oil City and work as a Registered Nurse in the local hospital's Intensive Care Unit. |
