| I was hooked from the beginning to the end. This is a juggernaut of a book. I've never read anything like it. The writing is very well done but unorthodox. The characters are extremely well developed and believable. It follows the adventurous life of Walter Volknor. He is a werewolf warrior in pursuit of his family's killer, Avatar, a master vampire. The werewolves are portrayed as human beings, they have emotions, friendships, and enemies. The novel's feel is dark, gothic, romantic, poetic and epic. I felt like I had lived the main character's life journey. I was left wanting more.
