Another common method of cleaning your truck is to use an Air Compressor to remove dirt, grass, rocks and what ever you have managed to embed in or on your truck.
Hear is some simple steps on how to do it:
1. Remove as much or as little as you want off your car. I recomend you remove your wheels and you engine, but this is not necessary for the procedure.
2. Plug your Air Compressor in to a power source and start her up!
3. TIP: i Recomend useing a fine point nozzel to make the air have higher presure as it comes out of the end
4. Reinstall all your stuff that you took out
5. DRIVE!!
This is what i do 90% of the time to clean my truck.
But when ever you can i would recomend useing the hose to wash it down.
