I realize this is a really stupid background, but it is a dread support group. This page is for help on specific issues like washing hair or dreads that didnt turn out so good...
WASHING
NOw mybe you might say im not that hardcore cuz i wash my hair, but believe me, you  dont wanna disgust everyone with that smell. Here is a step by step guide
1. Choose your shampoo (see products page)

2. wet hair, lather, rinse (lol). no what you should do is make sure you have everything ready at once. Like you Soap, salt and lots of water (no sponge baths).

3. Wet hair, if you are using a bar, just try to wash your scalp the most, and rub your hair for about 30 seconds> then let it sit for a bit.

3b. If you have a liquid, wash the scalp mainly, but put the shampoo in your hand first and spread it evenly, cuz dreads soak up lots of shampoo

4. now heres the hard part, rinsing. What you gotta do is have your head down and let all your dreads fall forward and have them hanging in teh direction of you bathtub.
rinse thooraly with a heavy showerhead (dont take baths) and rinse for at least two minutes. If its your first time ever washing your dreads after youve had them for a while, i swear, it will fel like losing a layer of skin. If you dont rinse you face having an itchy head until your next washing

5. The salt is rad, it dries out your hair and makes them harder. Just before finishing your shower, rinse your hair with salt water. then dont rinse it again. leave the slat in your hair. The next day the tips of your dreads will be salty. So next time your eatin french fries, just twist a dread over them.....
