| Fyodor Dostoevsky (1821-1881) Among the many things that Fyodor was in his life, he was most noted for being a Russian journalist, novel-writer, and a short-story writer. His works include: ~Crime and Punishment ~Poor Folk ~The Idiot ~The Gambler He was born in Moscow and attended the Army Engineering College in St. Petersburg where he graduated as a military engineer. After being arrested in 1849, he was sent to Siberia for four years to work as a laborer. Upon returning to St. Petersburg in 1854, he wrote some works on religion. He is buried in the Aleksandr Nevsky Monastery in St. Petersburg. |
