Toasting our Sister Parish, Kulich and Paskha |
Although its formal name is Trinity, the architecture -- a church built round like the triditional Easter Kulich (cake) and a bell tower shaped like Paskha, the pyramidal Easter cheese dessert -- gives our sister parish church its nickname. |

The interior of Kulich and Paskha is bright blue and white, with liberal amounts of gilding and brass. Candles burn after the service, and a parishioner keeps the candlestands free of wax and pulls the burned-down candles for recycling. |

The St. Petersburg Children's Hospice |
The hospice, which cares for disabled children as well as the terminally ill, is another organization we support. We took three boys to the zoo, where the house of mirrors was a big hit.. |

| Christina shows us an icon she is painting for Janet Campbell of St. Mark's. She's been here to teach an icon-writing workshop. We visited her studio. |
