Toyota Corona SL 1900
My new project car :-)
If all goes to plan, this car will be with me for a very long time.  Im planning on taking my time, and doing all mods to a very high standard.  Hopefully I will be able to do a lot of work my self.  With the Lancer i am to scared to touch any thing incase i stuff up some computer thing, or break a plastic clip of some sort.  The Corona, being an older car, should allow me to learn how things work, and allow me to do the work myself.  I wont be touching the engine, but things such as body and interior restoration, and audio work is stuff I should be right with.  Any way, enough of that crap and on to the car:
The full name of this car is "Toyota Corona Mark II Hardtop SL 1900".  As you can tell by the name it has a 1.9lt engine (1856cc to be precise) with twin carbys putting out 124hp or 100kw in stock form.  This car is a four speed manual.  Although it is a very difficult car to drive, it is still a lot of fun, and is a lot quicker than the lancer.

The corona has a heap of litle features that make it stand out of the croud, such as wooden sports steering wheel and gear knob, tacho sports dash, pillarless doors (all four windows wind down so the whole side of the car opens up), auto seek radio and a few other little luxury items.  The car is totally stock, it has even been resprayed in the origional colour.  My grandparents have had this car since new.  It was brought as a Japanese import (that is why they are so rare over hear) and kept in great condition ever since.

The car has a heap of potential. It is a nice shape, good performer and very very unique.  I cant wait to turn it into somthing speacial.

I will keep you all posted on the progress of the car.
