Melting Pot - This theory believes that once in the USA the immigrants would lose their own culture and identity and become American

Salad Bowl - This theory believes that together the immigrants created America, but each group retained its individual customs and traditions

Mosaic - This new theory believes that immigrants choose to be American, part American or to retain their individual identity and culture

Pull Factors - Job Opportunities, Land Availability, Wealth, Freedom of Speech, Right to vote, Right To Worship Freely

Push Factors - Wars, Escape from Poverty, Escape  from Dictatorship where there is censorship
