Here are pics of the construction, done by a D6 Dozer. If you took a look at the "before" pictures, you'll love these. Dirt movers really change the landscape fast ! The pic on the right was taken 04/2004, the pond was about 1 acre. You can see the water level still has another 8-10 feet to go. I will dig a water well (or two) myself to suppliment the water supply. I'll add a page about the Hydra Drill soon.
As with every "new" pond owner, patience is a MUST. First Rainfall, then Fish. As soon as the pond was 4' deep in Oct. 03', I began adding minnows and Bluegill perch. It's now July 04, and the forage base is well established.
