Here is a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs): 1-) What is the future in Europe? If you want to really come for study then there is no relevance of this question. I beleive if you study well then you can do well in job....Finding a good job anywhere in world is difficult...For India students...I would say its worth to consider working in India...I have seen companies in India have started doing a lot of things which most of the companies in US are doing....They pay well. 2-) How is social life in Europe? Social life in europe is very good...Specially Switzerland is very good place...most of the people can speak English in Switzerland. ..Overall people behave well with outsiders...You have to start develope liking for european food...Which in most of the cases is good...Iloved the food at Europe specially italian and french cuisine. 3-) How is ALaRI? ALaRI is a good place to get an idea of embedded systems. Overall there are wide variety of courses that are offered...You dont havemuch options to choose since a lot of courses are mandatory there...Overall it is a good learning experience...But if you want to do the comparison with some university in US then I wont suggest you to do that as it is entirely a different kind of place. 4-) How do you come to know about ALaRI? As you get to know the same way me too :-P... 5-) Did you need to learn any european language? I personally believe if you can learn then do it..I couldn't learn any language...because I have a lot of inertia and I take time in learning new languages... 6-) Scholarship amount at ALaRI is sufficient?? Well the amount they give is just sufficient...One shouldn't try to save any money from it because switzerland is expensive place and that amount is not high...If you get full scholarship then I believe ur life will be tough but not impossible...I survive along with 3 other Indians so should anybody else... 7-) How did you get internship? I think ask ur seniors...Now a days a lot of students visit European/US univs to do internships...I dont know how is the procedure now since I did my internships 5 years back :-)... 8-) Can you check my resume to see what are my chances? Pleaseeeeeeee dont do it...I am a student and I dont have time to look into the resumes to suggest you...I would say try to see resume of few people and make your own by taking some inspiration...There are a lot of resume on web...You can search for PhD students etc... 9-) What are my chances of getting scholarship at ALaRI? I am not doing any councelling at ALaRI...I don't even know how do they choose people...Its a wastage of time, if you ask me to tell you the chances of you getting admit/scholarship...I encourage good students with decent GPA and good TOEFL/GRE score to apply there ...If you have any industry/research experience with good recommendations then you have better chances to get scholarship. 10-) Why did you move to US? This is the most funny question...Please dont ask personal questions like why I did this or that... 11-) How easy it is to get scholarship in top US Univs..if you are a master's from europe? Every where in world now a days selection process is very fair and competitive...I had applied to around 10 Universities in US and got admission with scholarship from 6 of them...I know few of my friends who applied to 8-10 universities and got all the scholarships... They never came out of india before that...Everybody knows what is good credentials...If you know you have good credentials then apply as per your credentials...there is no matra for this... 12-) How is life in US compare to Europe? For me its same working in a small lab and spending time on my computer...Although I feel that europe was more relaxed while US is more exhaustive. 13-) Can you suggest me some good universities to apply? I dont like such a questions...I really dont know most of you who apply then how can I suggest to apply in xyz univ...Take help from ur immediate school seniors. 14-) Note: I dont know why I am so popular :)...I got few mails from pakistani, chinese and students from other country also. Frankly I have never been to your country so its very difficult for me to tell anything...Although I will encourage you to mail me if you have any specific query from me...I think, I am generally good in replying back to the queries but please first check these FAQs before sending your query.
