The
Outer Bay Exhibit
Beyond the shores of Monterey Bay lies
a vast blue world. The Outer Bay exhibit offers a view of life in the open
ocean waters of the temperate Eastern Pacific. Its million gallons of seawater
are home to a diverse community of animals. Look for fast-swimming tunas
and other open-ocean fishes, as well as cruising sharks and sea turtles.

The
Penguin Exhibit
This is where our blackfooted penguins
rest and preen when they're not swimming beak-to-nose with our visitors.
All 15 of our penguins came to us from an aquarium in New Orleans. In the
wild, they roost on rocky shores in South Africa. Unfortunately, these
endearing birds face threats in the wild. You can learn more as you explore
these penguin pages.

Monterey
Bay Cam
Monterey Bay teems with wild sea mammals
and birds: whales, dolphins, seals and sea lions; pelicans, gulls, even
the occasional egret. You'll often see cormorants and harbor seals resting
on the rocks—unless stormy waves are crashing. |
