Long before we came to be,
A detailed plan was laid.
Before our feet touched the earth,
Choices for our life were made.

What kind of person will this be?
One of wealth and fame?
Perhaps a sick or crippled one,
Who's life is filled with pain.

Why do some suffer so much,
While others do so well?
Everything has a purpose,
A tale of living to tell.

For all that happens to us here,
Is part of what needs to be.
We need to open up our eyes,
So we can truly begin to see.

If life were one flat easy road,
What lessons would we learn?
Creating our Heaven yet to come,
Is a gift that we must earn.

Our life is a chosen destiny,
And we must play the role.
Make the most of what you have,
And love with all your soul.

Accept things you can not change,
Begin and start each day anew.
Put your trust and faith in God,
And He will guide you through.

In the end the things you've done,
The love you've gave and shared,
Is equal to the place in Heaven,
That is yours to be declared.
